Introduction
Mundo Casas builds prefabricated houses with SIP (structural insulated) panels. I designed and developed the company website: a catalogue of house models, an explanation of the construction system and a direct route from browsing to contacting a sales executive.
Context & challenge
Buying a house is a considered decision, and SIP construction is unfamiliar to many visitors. Each model has to show its floor area, rooms, floor plan, imagery and the price of three kit levels, while the construction system and the purchase process need explaining without burying the catalogue.

- Lead developer
Website design and development, and the technical illustrations of the construction system, by me. The logo and the 3D house renders were provided by the client.
Interface and visual design, front-end development and a custom WordPress theme. The brand logo and the house renders came from the client; I built the visual system around them.
I also created the technical illustrations that explain the construction system: the exploded architectural view and the layered SIP panel diagram.
Visual design decisions
- A dark header and the brand red, reserved for actions — contact, enquiry and prices.
- Large renders in page headers so each model reads as a home first, a product second.
- Inter for a neutral, legible typographic system across specifications and prices.
- The purchase process told in illustrated steps instead of a block of text.
Responsive experience
On phones every page collapses to a single reading column: the enquiry form follows the hero, specifications stack, and email and phone shortcuts stay available at the edge of the screen.
Technical implementation
A custom WordPress theme assembled from modular template parts — hero, kit levels, SIP panel explainer, financing, FAQ, showroom and purchase process. House models are a custom post type with ACF fields (area, bedrooms, bathrooms, floor plan, gallery and the price of each kit level), so the client manages the catalogue without touching code. Enquiries run through Contact Form 7, with a WhatsApp shortcut.

Technical illustration
Making the construction system visible.
I created the technical illustrations that explain how a Mundo Casas house is built: an exploded architectural view that separates the roof, the cladding, the SIP walls and the openings, and a layered diagram of the SIP panel itself.
These visuals translate complex construction concepts into accessible, visual information.
